The Catholic Enquiry Centre has developed two new brochures, The Sacrament of Baptism - A General Guide and The Sacrament of Marriage – A General Guide.
Baptisms and weddings are two occasions when people who have no formal
connection with the Catholic Church intersect with the Church, and they
are important evangelising opportunities. The brochures simply explain
what will happen during the ceremony, and give the Catholic Enquiry
Centre as a point of reference in case they’d like to find out more in
future.
Since 1959 the Catholic Enquiry Centre has been involved in supporting
priests and parishes in the evangelisation of those not baptised into
the Catholic faith. For many of those years the flagship publication
has been The Catholic Religion. It has been used by many priests to
provide instruction in the Catholic faith.
The Catholic Enquiry Centre has booked advertising space in cinemas across Australia during the Christmas/Boxing Day/New Year period. This is the peak time that people visit the cinema, with Boxing Day attracting the biggest viewing audiences of the year!
While newspaper advertising is still important to reach our market, newspaper readership is in decline, and this is another way to reach the mass market.
The movies that our ad will precede are:
The Bee Movie, an animated children’s film with Jerry Seinfeld, Uma Thurman, Oprah Winfrey etc. It is a film for the whole family.
Our advertising with this film commences on 6 December for two weeks.
Atonement, a period drama across several decades.
Our advertising with this film commences on 26 December for two weeks.
