Marita Winters is the Director of the National Office for Evangelisation - Catholic Enquiry Centre for the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Canberra in 1991 and then worked in various media and communications roles. From 1998 to 2006 Marita was the Director of Catholic Communications in the Archdiocese of Sydney. During that time she completed post-graduate studies at the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family in Melbourne, earning a Graduate Diploma in Marriage and Family Studies.

Marita has lectured on human sexuality and marriage and family matters at various places including Catholic Adult Education Centre in Sydney, with subjects including The Genius of Woman and Music, Mass Media and Evangelisation, at the Disciples of Jesus Summer School of Evangelisation and the St Thomas More Summer School. In 2007 Marita was a sessional tutor in Theology at the University of Notre Dame, Broadway campus.

Marita is a contributor to Life to the Full, Rights and Social Justice in Australia (published November 2007).

Marita is married to Bernard Winters and they reside in Sydney’s inner west.
