Welcome to the website of the Catholic Enquiry Centre (CEC). The purpose of this website is to provide a basic introduction to different aspects of the Catholic faith by means of short articles, and through responses to frequently asked questions.
It is not the intention to provide the definitive and complete teaching of the Catholic Church on this site, even on those matters we have chosen to address. Rather, the goal is to provide enquirers with a few points they might like to consider as they seek to deepen their understanding, and then to refer them on to other resources that may be of use to them. In all matters to do with the Catholic faith, you are encouraged to refer to the Catechism of the Catholic Church as your primary source.
Each one’s journey is unique, even while there are points of connection that unite them. While every effort has been made to provide information that might be of use to any enquirer, it is not possible to cover everything you will need to know if you are to fully understand the Catholic perspective on the invitation God has for you.
